Naruto Is Gaara

Similarities Between Naruto Uzumaki and Gaara

Naruto Uzumaki and Gaara, two of the most prominent characters from Naruto, share striking similarities in both their pasts and their journeys as shinobi. Despite coming from different villages, their experiences are remarkably parallel, making their eventual friendship all the more profound. Here are some of the key similarities between the two:

1. Jinchūriki from Birth

Both Naruto and Gaara were made jinchūriki—hosts of tailed beasts—at birth. In both cases, it was their fathers, who also held the position of the Fourth Kage of their respective villages, who made this decision. Naruto's father, the Fourth Hokage, sealed the Nine-Tails within him, while Gaara's father, the Fourth Kazekage, sealed the One-Tail Shukaku inside Gaara.

2. Father’s Influence and Similar Abilities

Though neither Naruto nor Gaara was directly trained by their fathers, they each developed skill sets that were remarkably similar to those of their dads. Their fathers also employed techniques to keep the tailed beasts under control, with the methods being inspired by the beasts themselves. For instance, Minato used the Reaper Death Seal to control Kurama, while Gaara's father used gold dust to counteract Shukaku's sand manipulation.

3. Tragic Family Losses

Both Naruto and Gaara experienced profound losses on the day they were born. Naruto lost his mother, Kushina, when she died protecting him from the Nine-Tails. Similarly, Gaara’s mother died during his birth due to complications from becoming Shukaku’s jinchūriki. This shared loss plays a significant role in shaping both characters' early isolation and emotional struggles.

4. Ostracized by Their Villages

Both characters were feared and ostracized by the people in their villages because of their jinchūriki status. Naruto, seen as a threat due to the Nine-Tails inside him, was treated as an outcast. Likewise, Gaara, with Shukaku’s destructive power, was feared by his fellow villagers, who viewed him as a monster.

5. Chidori

Both Naruto and Gaara took a Chidori to the chest from Sasuke in part 1. Gaara took the attack during the Chuunin Exams, and Naruto to a few during end of the Sasuke retrieval arc.

6. Death

Both Naruto and Gaara had their tailed beast extracted from them by the Gedo Stutue which resulted in their deaths. This happened to Gaara in early shippuden after he was defeated by Deidara, and to Naruto during the War Arc courtesy of Obito.

Their lifeless bodies fell from a great height and we're caught by each other before being brought to Sakura who tried with futility to save their lives.

Eventually they were brought back to the land of the living through the efforts of a very old relative (Granny Chiyo and Hagaromo respectively).

7. Father/Son Kage Numbers

Both their fathers were the 4th Kages of their respective villages while Naruto and Gaara became prime number Kages with 7th Hokage and 5th Kazekage respectively.

 8. Haircut

The boruto series did Naruto and Gaara dirty with regards to their haircuts. Gaara looks like a 40 year old lesbian secretary while Naruto looks like a Cancer Survivor growing their hair back after kemotherapy. Again, they were both done dirty.

 9. Bijuu traits

Both Naruto and Gaara inherited a physical trait from having bijuu influence as far back as before their births. Naruto gained his fox whiskers from Kurama, while Gaara get black lines around his eyes from his Tanuki bijuu.

Edo Tensei Jinchuuriki: Naruto What If

Edo Tensei Jinchuuriki: A New Possibility in the Naruto Universe In the Naruto universe, the Edo Tensei technique introduced an intriguing concept: the reanimation of deceased shinobi with endlessly replenishing chakra. This technique played a significant role in the Fourth Great Shinobi War, with reanimated individuals proving to be formidable assets. Given their seemingly infinite chakra reserves, one might wonder—could an Edo Tensei be sealed into a living ninja in the same way a tailed beast can be, making the host a new kind of jinchuuriki? Infinite Chakra Supply: A Potential Substitute for Tailed Beasts? The most obvious reason to consider Edo Tensei as jinchuuriki substitutes is the limitless chakra reanimated shinobi possess. Tailed beasts provide their jinchuuriki with vast chakra pools, allowing them to access immense power in battle. However, unlike tailed beasts, whose chakra can be depleted or weakened, an Edo Tensei ninja’s chakra is constantly replenished. This quality a...
